While cycling along Parkinson St past Coolemon Court at about midday, I
heard what sounded exactly like a Bell Miner's call coming from the
Eucalypts just outside the Weston Creek Community Centre, along the edge
of the carpark. As I was in a hurry I didn't stop to investigate
further. They must be pretty uncommon in the ACT, as I don't think I've
ever heard one around here before, and the distribution map in my
Simpson & Day puts us right at the very edge of their range.
