Hi all On Sunday afternoon I had a pair of king parrots visit my yard in Hawker. The male was wearing a band which appeared to be anodized metal, blue in colour, with the number 17 stamped on in white. Is anyone studying this species locally? Does anyone (maybe Benj or Julian) know of the use of such bands on caged birds and whether king parrots are commonly kept in Canberra?
