16:00 hrs today there were 8 Yellow-faced Honeyeaters pecking about in a bare tree in our garden. Every few moments a couple dropped to the grass and pecked about there. After 5 minutes they flew to trees in a neighbouring yard. I gained the impression they were loitering and feeding rather than moving through. Maybe they over-wintered hereabouts; but I haven’t seen any in Holt since last autumn.
