Frances heard a Fan-tailed Cuckoo calling this morning. I think the call coud be translated as "Gosh, its cold." Looking at my records for my GBS site over the past 5 years this year has the greatest number of species by the 4th week of the new year. I am not sure what that means in terms of the overall season but it has been a bright spot in view of the very ordinary weather we have been having. Martin |
