maybe I need to clean my monitor but it looked like the owl print had
ears. I cannot see how a Tawny Owl impact could possibly produce this.
Another salient feature is the obviously long tail impression that also
would be unlikely to be produced by impact from a Tawny Owl. I would
need to be convinced that this impact was not in fact from a Long-eared
Owl (Asio otus). In the interests of full disclosure I have previously
observed Long-eared Owls roosting in conifer plantations very close to
the township of Kendal in the former county of Westmorland.
