Dear All, Over the last fortnight I have been seeing a pair of relatively young Wedge tail eagles round Mt Majura....They seem to like the thermal I call Dabbs's (after Geoffrey pointed it out to me) between Majura and the the long hill along the saddle with Mt Ainslie....Whilst hardly the Serengeti of the North that some believe it to be,Majura is home to a couple of quite large nomadic bands of passerines, one I saw last week had almost fourty members,White ear H.Eater,G.Whistlers,Treecreeper,Striated T.Bill,YT T.Bill,S Robins,Speckled Warblers...good to see....Wandered down around the Concrete Pill Box at the foot of the saddle, into a lovely patch of scub....saw YTT.Bills gathering nesting material,I was thinking it was a bit early, but that they might get away with it in such a lonely spot...as I walked away, there sitting on a vantage point a crafty old Currawong....What hope have they got?....Well may the lovely Victoria ask about their evil habits...After the Mynahs what about knocking off the Currawongs?Fond regards,Terry Gourlay.
