While walking in the Aranda Bushland this morning I came across 20+ little
cleared areas about 15 cm to 20cm diameter in E rossii dominated forest with
a scattered shrub understorey. The little clearings looked like someone had
swept the litter off them radially i e the litter was not piled up anywhere
but appeared to be evenly distributed around them.
Could these be platelets and is acceptable evidence of the occurrence of
Painted Button-quail?
Is there someone out there willing to come out and have a look at them to
confirm or reject the idea?
Cheers
Peter
