Last year (10 May) at Finch Central a family of Brown Quail were walking past my feet.  I didn't have time to get the camera out, but would have needed the macro setting!

This species is quite conspicuous on NW Cooleman Ridge/S Narrabundah Hill at the moment.  Not calling but we’re regularly flushing up to 10 at a time (and sometimes more within the next 0.5 km) when we walk there.  A number of times they’ve been relatively in the open and you’ve been able to get the binos on them for a little while before they fly.
