Yesterday was the first time i've seen a rose robin in the garden in Hawker.
I've only rarely seen a scarlet robin (~5 times) in the garden, so a rose robin was very special.
Also saw a grey fantail, 6 king parrots, golden whistler female. Plus 17 fairy wrens in a fight, which are all rare for this site, plus many thornbills and pardalotes in an MFF.
I've recently seen 3 spinebills, silvereyes every dusk (30-40), pardalotes (10-20 mainly spotted), up to 16 crimson rosellas and 28 currawongs, and 2 ravens. 2 scrubwrens and 2 brown thornbills. Interesting recent obs have been a very loud boobook on 30/4/11 and 3 fruit bats, a butcherbird (pretty rare for here) and oriole quite late , no common mynas.
A crescent honeyeater last autumn, and a pair of tawny frogmouths over christmas.

Ive just moved from Weetangera- The garden there was so pathetic I didnt even consider it as a GBS. A shame really. Because it was so different. I often recorded up to 12 Crested Pigeons (CP), 1 Koel almost every day over summer with 3 being max, 6 sparrows, 2 rainbow lorikeets passed over every morning (Heading E) and back over most dusks. Kookaburras: 2-3 most days, 6 superb parrots (summer), 4-12 eastern rosellas, king parrots were common (up to 30), 2-4 gang gangs sporadically. spotted doves a few times, common mynas (usually 2-6), starlings (~10 most days).
4 Dollarbirds (2 adults & 2 dy) came for a few days in Autumn,  rainbow bee-eaters passing over in spring.
Currawongs were rare.
