Good bunch of birds. WRT the Diamond Firetail nest I recall (but can no longer find the reference) that a difference between the breeding nests and communal 'roost-nests" is that the latter have no entrance tunnel. It would be interesting to know if this nest had an entrance tunnel as it seems rather late to be building a breeding nest.
