Hello Tonya,

Good question, I couldn't have asked it better myself. Indeed I already have. Have a look at Appendix three of The GBS Report (pages 113 to 117). Just about every question about the GBS has already been answered there. That gives that figure you are asking about for every GBS site, for the history of the GBS. Unfortunately only the first 21 years have been compiled and analysed. But it would only take a minute to run the report again and update it, if the system was still running with my queries.

The GBS Report also contains full details of the average numbers of species recorded (and recorded breeding) per site per year and in total and graphs as to how these figures change over time.

Note that I made the point that the list is sequenced by GBS Site number. That being the most useful reference to find information. I specifically did not sequence it by any aspect of results (of which there are several possibilities), as I specifically did not wish to imply any ranking. Besides that would change each year.

Hi all,

Just curious if anyone has tallies of yard birds for suburbs around Canberra?  I just moved to O'Connor from Aranda, and I'm curious what other people have as typical and high-number bird lists for their yards in town.  A tawny frogmouth in the front yard yesterday brought us up to 35 species since December.

Cheers,

Tonya
