On Tuesday (29. March) morning under pleasant weather conditions I carried out the woodland survey at Mt Ainslie East: Spotted and Striated Pardalotes wide spread, but only in small groups; widespread also Grey Fantail; White-throated Gerygone, Rufous and Golden Whistler at and between a couple of sites; 1 Fuscous Honeyeater, and small numbers of Yellow-faced and White-naped Honeyeaters, 1 Mistletoebird.; to my delight 2 sites with Speckled Warblers, the first for a while during the woodland survey.

On the way back to the car park twice Diamond Firetail and 2 Jacky Winters (with the male repeatedly in full song) and 2 Buff-rumped Thornbills feeding 1 begging young.

Several sites have become very weedy, although rabbit numbers appear to be down.
