I noted the first migrating Y-f HEs & W-n HE, at home for me for this
autumn, today. As we all know, these flocks that flicks past are a case
of mixed flux, as in these meanings of "flux": "continued motion" &
"amount crossing area in given time".
To comment on Ian's second paragraph: I think that there is a strong
connection between Red-browed Finches and Superb Fairy-wrens feeding
together on the
ground, as the latter is almost always with the former.

Constant small flocks of Y-f HEs moving east just above foliage height
through the Chestnut-rumped Hylacola site (between Concrete Crossing and
Vanity's Crossing) this morning.
Also yesterday on the boundary track at the northern edge of Narrabundah
Hill, Diamond Firetails, Red-br Finches, D-b Finches, Y-r Thornbills,
Sthn Whiteface, Dusky Woodswallows and S F-wrens feeding together on the
ground.
