My son just alerted me to a bird that "sounds like some sort of owl ........."   I went out to hear and had a positive id of a Powerfull Owl. When I went back to get the Bins, it flew off. But the sound was unmistakable. My wife then told me that she has heard the call a bit over the last few nights while working late.
