My thanks to everyone who responded to this message.  Despite it being autumn it is clear that the Koel is still widely present in Canberra, not only as juveniles, but also as adult males still giving the “koell”call, though not in prolonged bursts.   You might ask yourself why they are still giving this call, if it’s associated with attracting a mate, and how much longer they will persist, in this what you could only call the summer of the Koel.

After almost exactly a week of silence, the “Banvard Place” Koel (not quite sure of the exact spot) was heard for about 1 minute just before 6:30 this morning clearly giving the “koell”call. 
 
A check of the three most recent COG Annual Bird Reports indicates the first week of March is about as late as it gets for past Koel records.  Is anyone else still hearing them?
