In bushland near Bungendore yesterday we saw swarms of flying insects that, to 
the naked eye, looked like large mosquitos, about 2 cm long. They swarmed onto 
the bark of trees, clinging together in a tight formation, before dispersing 
again. Any ideas anyone?
