Thank you everyone.  Yes, it was a pipit, and now I will be able to identify one more bird.  I have been 12 months on a steep learning curve, and enjoyed every bit of it.  Thank you all for sharing your knowledge with me.

I understand the Australasian pipit is a very common bird, but this is the first one I have photographed, providing it IS a pipit and not a skylark or bushlark or suchlark.  Coppin’s crossing this morning.

Confimation or correction welcome.
