Hello Everyone

According to a Defence Environmental  officer, Defence have been undertaking some chainsaw work at Campbell Park along the fire trails as required to allow tanker access in case of a fire.  Defence must do this to ensure that fire-fighters can safely access the area to provide full fire protection coverage.  Defence has also undertaken some chainsaw activities near the building to re-establish the 30 m Asset Protection Zone.

With regards to the St John's Wort, Defence has had Defence grasslands sprayed and the woodlands were supposed to be included in that spray. However  the spot spraying in the woodlands appears to have been perfunctory at best.  Unfortunately Defence has a few issues with their contractor but is definitely aware of the issue and will ensure spraying is done as soon as possible.

 Cheers

Paul
