Wow, that's great news. Jindalee was looking very tired last time I was in there. But eight years of drought can do that! Bendick Murrell is just west of the Olympic Highway, about 25km north of Young. It's across the valley from the Koorawatha range which some folks may have visited in the past. It's an impressive block of box-ironbark woodland (and some higher ridge woodland with gums and stringybarks) with the usual suite of associated birds, and goodies like squirrel gliders. From memory, access to the forest was limited to two tracks through private property, however I had no problem getting in there for survey work many years ago.
