babies?

Hi

 

Friends at Burra have these babies near their front door and are not quite sure what they are. Any ideas?

Our babies................. nest is on top of the cupboard outside our front door...............second lot this season.................... two days after I took this they were out of the nest then gone................not sure what they are but mum is a greyish/silver with white and brown around her eyes and makes an almost cuckoo noise. She's about 20cm tall. Both mum and dad build the nest each year and share the sitting and feeding but I reckon there's only been one around this batch.
