Hi Adam

The Regent Honeyeater is no longer listed on COG's list of Unusual birds. However your sighting is very significant because we have had very few reports of this species in the ACT region over the last few years.

Also the status of this species has recently been changed from Endangered to Critically Endangered in NSW, making reporting of any sightings even more important.

Thanks for the photos. Perhaps you could let us know if the bird is still present or when you last saw it in your garden?

cheers
Nicki Taws
