Hi Vivien,

How about a 100% certain that your ID is correct.

Hi all,
I have just returned from The South Coast.  I saw this raptor, which is, I think  Nankeen kestral.  Please correct me if I am wrong!!  The wind was very strong and it was almost stationary right above me. Didn't even have to move it's wings.

Not a lot else around.  A few Bar-tailed Godwit, couple of Oyster catchers, one little Egret 2 Black headed Tern and an Eastern Curlew. 2 Pelicans only, but quite a few Great Cormorant, one of whom was wearing a tracking device.  Don't know what sort of survey was being done. Rainbow Lorikeets of course, and Seagulls!!  I did glimpse one Azure Kingfisher and a Magpie lark nest with 2 fledglings just out of it.  I could hear the Bell Minors, but didn't manage to see one this time.  A few Superb Fairy Wrens. Red and Little wattle birds, some Thornbills. Silvereye  and Weebills.
