In addition to the below siting we had a
single grey-headed flying fox roosting during the day last Thursday in one of
the Eucalypts behind our house in Watson.

some exciting bat news - about 20 female

I don't subscribe to COG chatline any more - maybe you'd like to post for the
info of members? The real test will be whether they come back and drop
young in Cwealth Pk
next year - I think they will.
Robin et al,
So that means that the bats are back? Last I heard (just after Floriade I
think) there were reports that there weren't any bats there any more?
Very cool thatthey're now breeding here, as well as overwintering here. I
take it that they haven't produced young here in Canberra before?
I feel a wander to Commonwealth
Park coming on.
<grin> Does anyone have more precise directions to finding them, or
are they pretty obvious?
Thanks for the info.
Cheers.
