This pair of mistletoe birds was spotted high in a tree with no mistletoe.  The female seemed to be gathering nesting material, and then they both flew downhill towards the big dam. 

 

mistletoebirdpair101118_6929.jpg   Many small birds were quite happy in this and a neighbouring tree in spite of the presence of the brown goshawk in the immediate vicinity.  I guess they knew her attention was entirely focussed on harassing me.  She is no longer bluffing.  She connects.
