A bit of further info on your photo. We found your sittella nest during the nest workshop at Campbell Park on Sunday. The nest had two very large nestlings which were being fed every few minutes by at least three adults. I'd say they were not very far off leaving home!

Cheers

Many thanks to all, Anthony, John, Andrew, Jack for very helpful responses- NOT a Treecreeper's nest, but a Varied Sittella.

This morning in Campbell Park nests aplenty.

One query - is this a typical White-throated Treecreeper's nest? about 5-6 m high up a dead branch.
Half an hour earlier I saw a Treecreeper a few cms from the nest, but didnt realise there was a nest. On return this small white throat was visible over the nest cup (but also in vicinity saw White-winged Trillers.)

Other nests seen occupied (Willie Wagtail, White-winged Chough), or under construction/reconstruction-mud all wet (Magpie Lark).
