Congratulations. This is right on cue for this time of year. I am hoping for the same at my house or maybe I lucked out with the White-fronted Honeyeater 3 years ago.
 
Hobby is a good bird for the GBS. It features on the cover of The GBS Report. Although I actually painted that picture several years earlier, as a birthday card...............

Remember I was complaining about Ravens a few weeks ago? Well their old nest in the garden next door has been taken over by Australian Hobbies! My attention was drawn by a whole lot of wittering going on at the top of the tall eucalypt. There they are in full view doing all the things the field guide says they should! Best of all, unlike the ravens who have thankfully moved house, the Hobbies don’t dunk gross stuff in my bird bath. These are much better mannered neighbours. My GBS has moved up market J
