Well
this is really off topic. I tried to do the same from the Chinese embassy and
they certainly were not interested in helping with translating (even for some
official purpose), nor referring me to anyone. Maybe the Japanese embassy is
more helpful. However try the National Accreditation Authority for Translators
and Interpreters. Phone 1300557470 or 62603035 or look at www.naati.com.au for a list of possible
interpreters (of course at a paying rate). That got me what I needed for Chinese
in both Translating and Interpreting.
