Rainbow Bee-eaters were out and about at Tharwa Sandwash this morning -
at least 4.
A good morning for other birds there too - one (at least) Dollarbird, 2
Sacred Kingfishers, several Dusky Woodswallows, 1 male Mistletoebird (a
first sighting for me), male Golden Whistler, many Y-f Honeyeaters, 1
Wedge-t Eagle high overhead, and two goshawk-sized raptors together, one
carrying prey (?possibly lizard)

Paul,
A couple of other places you could try for Rainbow Bee-eaters include;
1. Parkwood Road between the resource management centre (tip) and the
end of the road,
2. Tharwa Sandwash.

Hello Everyone,
They're back along the Molonglo River near the bridge at the
back of the RSPCA. We saw at least 6 today.
Tina et al,
Where exactly is this? I have so far managed to see a single rainbow
bee eater a couple of years ago on a BOG walk, but would very much
like to see more of them. Any pointers? When you say "at the back
of" the RSPCA where are you meaning? I know the RSPCA in Weston, but
am not aware of a bridge behind it? What road is it on? Do you have
to walk far from the bridge? Advice anyone?
Thanks heaps.
Cheers.
