Last Thursday I watched a few shearwaters.  I am not very good at these.  There are some excellent seabird observers in Canberra but I am not one of them.  The first 4 snaps are from a boat in Twofold Bay, and I take the subjects to be Short-tailed.  The others are all from mid-afternoon at Green Cape where hundreds were streaming in small groups north out of Disaster Bay.  I suppose these are Short-tailed too, but I would be happy to be corrected.
