One Swift Parrot was still in the ironbarks along the cycleway in Cook this morning, reasonably late to be staying in this part of the mainland. The Swift Parrots who stayed for several days in the same ironbarks in Oct 2004 were last seen on 11 October, so this bird is a little more tardy, perhaps owing to the somewhat wintery weather of late.
 
Eight Superb Parrots also in the area.
