I found a Pied Currawong in my garden trying to carry off a protesting Crested Pigeon – probably the one I saw begging for food from an adult yesterday. By the time I chased off the Currawong, the pigeon wasn’t looking too good (blood on its neck, lyind on the ground) but it struggled to a sitting position when I tried to pick it up. An hour later it’s still lying there, head down but breathing. Is there any point taking it to the RSPCA or somewhere? Otherwise I’d rather let it die in peace. And I know… I probably shouldn’t have intervened…  the Currawong will just go and kill something else now…
