Further to Martin's list, my Golden
Whistlers are in full voice, as are Scrubwrens, and Superb Fairy
Wrens.
I have seen many groups of Yellow-faced
Honeyeaters passing through Robertson, all heading south (they are non-resident
here).
And my male Satin Bowerbirds are
whipping themselves into some kind of sexual frenzy, even when at the feed
table.
Whirring noises, low bowed posture, and tail
held straight down, wings half-spread.
This display was obviously for the benefit
of a particular female who he was trying to impress at the
time.
She was more interested in getting access to
the Apples and Oranges on the feeder.
But I enjoyed the display.
First signs of blowflies.
Cheers
