I forgot to mention...

The yellow-rumped thornbill breeding event I was monitoring at Hawker primary school culminated with the fledging of two young sometime on the weekend of 8-9 August. The young were still in the nest on the Friday. When I arrived at the school on the Monday morning the young were out and being fed by the parents. They were still begging this morning, so they've survived the last spell of cold weather!

Also of note, a monitoring project I'm involved in at the coast has many pairs of Brown Thornbills all with young about to leave the nest.

Cheers
Anthony
