A very nice day at Mulligans Flat today.  The birds were very active with the highlights being an Olive-backed Oriole, large groups of Sittellas, several Jacky Winters.

One of the sittellas was attaching a dead branch with a woodpecker like action.  The strikes of its bill were so solid that they were easily audible.  Is this common behaviour?
