Ever since a bird of this species started calling in the last week of Geoffrey's investigation a bird - and I make no implication it is just the one - has been calling early in the morning and late in the afternoon at Carwoola. They are normally far less common than Pallid Cuckoos out here but there has been no PC here so far this season. An Olive-backed Oriole was calling from the Taliesin Hills above our top paddock on Saturday morning.
