Great photos!
In J.A.Baker's UK classic The Peregrine (Penguin 1967) p. 16, he wrote  "Peregrines bathe every day. They prefer running water, six to nine inches deep...The bed of the stream must be stony and firm with a  shallow incline sloping gradually down from the bank....etc etc..."
