Please see the following message from Terry Bell reporting on his scouting visit to Bruce Ridge. Defniitely some goodies to be experienced there so meet, where Terry suggests, at 9am on 16 June. Could Dan make sure this gets announced at the next Meeting. I expect to attend the Meeting this Wednesday and will have supplies of the GBS Charts revised as per an earlier norice in Gang-gang. They will be for year 30 (yes, count them: we are entering our thirtieth year)! As has been my past practice they will be available for folk to take ad libertem before or after the formal meeting. However I would ask that you sign up on one of the sheets to indicate taking a Chart - it makes the the basic collection control at the end of the year much easier. Martin ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Terry Bell <> Date: Sun, Jun 6, 2010 at 4:57 PM Subject: Bruce/OÇonnor Ridge checks out To: martin butterfield <> Before my visit today I talked to Peter Milburn who confirms that this area is suitable for a walks of about 3 hours. The entrance to the park just after Wattle St on Dryandra St would be a suitable place to meet. Very misty this morning so I called there this afternoon and saw honeyeaters, thornbills, weebills a female robin, treecreepers and the highlight a flock of about 30 doublebar finches, same number of choughs as well as other more common species. See you next Wednesday at meeting. Terry |
