Just outside the dining room window is an acacia pravissima. Today, for the first time ever, I had excellent views of a Yellow Thornbill in our backyard, at distances as close as 80 centimetres, when it perched on the window sill.  It was with a flock of about 20 Silvereyes.   I heard a thornbill-like call so went to investigate, since all I could see were Silvereyes.  And there it was, just outside the window.  So I came back inside for a ringside view.

Cheers

Paul
