Not long back from a myna survey on O'Connor Ridge where, alerted by an unusual call which turned out to be one of the 172+ calls of the WB Scrubwren, I found myself in the middle of probably the best MFF I have ever encountered in Canberra.  Without moving from one spot, other than to turn around, I recorded:
  • WBSW 4
  • SFW ~12
  • YFHE 2
  • Silvereye ~36
  • White-eared HE 1
  • Eastern Spinebill 2
  • Golden Whistler 2
  • Speckled Warbler 2
  • RB Finch 7
  • Brown Thornbill 1
  • Grey Fantail 1
  • WTTC 3
  • Spotted Pardalote 6
  • Common Bronzewing 1 (not really part of the MFF but sitting in the middle of it)
  • and, to top it off, a male Rose Robin
This was about 75 metres up the hill directly opposite Scrivener Street .

Cheers
Sue
