Dropped in there for an hour mid-morning. No woodswallows (gone to John Knight Park? – or along the river?); surprisingly, no raptors; no quail. There were finches, though – a mixed flock of about 20 Red-brows and Double-bars in blackberries on the southernmost part of the circuit. Plus the same group of Flame Robins previously reported from the patch of trees, along with Willie Wags, White-eared Honeyeater, fairy-wrens aplenty and Yellow-rumped Thornbills. And at least a dozen pipits. b
