It’s some time since we had a pictorial quiz.  Many people have at some stage, like me, been interested in postage stamps with birds on them.  Here are eight illustrations from stamps.  One point for the name of each species.  An extra point for the name of the issuing jurisdiction.  All species occur naturally in the relevant jurisdiction, except for one, where there is a definite connection with the illustration.  All but one of the issuers have a coast washed by the Pacific Ocean, in fact, technically, perhaps all of them, but that might be getting a bit misleading.

6 points – good

10 points – very good

12 – excellent

13 or above - uncanny

Answers direct to me please.  Answers not published before next Wednesday.  I might do another instalment in due course.
