I went spotlighting yesterday at 5am at Uriarra TSR (couldn't sleep). I
heard a call I hadn't heard before. It seems to fit best to an owlet
nightjar " loud grating chirr of either two or three notes, typically
"chirr-chirr-chirr". I also heard some strong but fast fluttery
wingbeats 3 times, close to my head, seemed too loud for a bat. Im
guessing owlet nightjar. Also heard one very deep and loud boobook at
~Stromlo FP and one further west, not as deep, a few km down Uriarra Rd.
Also quite a lot of movement in one tree, but I couldn't locate it, but
suspect Brushtail P.
