We are familiar with that irritating ‘nac-nac-nac’ of begging galahs.  (This season they appeared around Rocky Knob over a quite long period for some reason  -  from November to March.)  Now I am noticing a new sound, the breathy rasp of begging juvenile corellas.  They are similar to the adults except for the shortish tails and the fact that, like the juv galahs, they need to use a bit of extra effort to get airborne and then control their direction.
