I don't know what the situation is at Fogg Dam now, probably no access. It was wonderful. But you did have to look out for the crocodiles. If you are looking for a B.and B. south of Darwin, I can recommend a good one. Good birders too. Their place is a little oasis. We were there when it was very hot. And they had a book, "Where to Find Birds in the NT", very useful too

John Cummings of COG was located at Katherine. He knows lots about NT birds and I'm sure would be very helpful.
