Sue,

I can't see any legs so that rules out Lace Monitor, so from the colouring I
would say it is a Diamond Python.

This beauty was photographed in the bed of the Towamba River at Burragate
(near Eden, NSW). The locals don't know what it is. In an attempt to make it
more relevant to the list, is it looking for birds to eat? I think I resized
the images to be less than 100 kb. Apologies if I didn't succeed.
