I had heard a Dollarbird in my neighbourhood last Wednesday and thought it was probably just passing through. Friday midday it stayed awhile between the powerlines on our naturestrip and the top of our elderly Silver Birch. Then today it was back again. I've not had any sightings of Dollarbirds in this area before. It was an immature/juvenile and on it's own.
Also this morning at Tidbinbilla up the gully behind the Visitor Centre were 2 female (or immature) Hooded Robins, and 2 Rainbow Bee-eaters giving us a wonderful aerial display catching their tucker mid air.
