On February 4th the Field Naturalists were delighted to welcome members of
COG's email-list to their meeting. Thanks to Michael Pennay we learned a
great deal about local bats.
On March 4th we are looking forward to a presentation by Nicki Taws and
invite COG members and friends to hear this update on specific out-of-town
bird populations.
Nicki Taws is the Birdwatch Project Manager for Greening Australia Capital
Region and her talk is titled "Birdwatch 2, Another Birds Eye View of
Revegetation".
Nicki's talk will look at the differences between bird surveys during
Birdwatch 1 and Birdwatch 2 to see the impact that revegetation has on
bird populations.

WHY Nicki's expertise in this field spans decades & involves years of
surveying, observations and liaison with landholders. The project involves
BIODIVERSITY restoration in action.
