Hi!

All this week I've been the reluctant host of 3 imm Koels and their Red-Wattlebird stepmums. At one stage I even had to hand feed one of them, but I should add that they are all tolerated on the understanding that they all go to Canberra next year. They all said they can hardly wait till next spring when they will be received with open arms along with the adulation they will get from birdo groupies.
The young ones even drown out the calls of the adults with their constant gravely ,one a second, 'Wit' or sometimes for a change "Wot", from dawn to dusk. It will give you something to look forward to next year.

Ps - for the second time this year I spotted 7 Channel-Billed cuckoos flying overhead.
