Are there experts out there who know whether this denuded skin is normal in young birds still growing their adult plumage?  Or could it be this Callum Brae WWT has feather mites or some such disease condition?  It certainly was an itchy bird, doing a lot of scratching and picking at its feathers with its beak.

 

Also, myxo is still working its way through the Callum Brae rabbits.  Saw another one today.
