I was away from Canberra today, and returned to find the tall Eucalypt (ribbon gum, E. viminalis) in Corroboree Park cut to a 12 m high stump.
Was anyone there when it was felled and able to observe the Hobby nest?
As I approached the stump a few minutes ago the pair of Gang Gangs flew away from it- so their nest may have survived (though I dont know what stage their breeding was at)?
